Title: Coin Door problems
Post by: neo_virus on September 16, 2005, 05:54:27 pm
Hey guys,

I apologise this is my billionth post on coin doors but its the area I don't have much of a clue with. Anyways I received the credit board for my coin door and have hooked it up to which it works but I'm getting intermittent issues with it. Basically I have it hooked up to a PC PSU taking 12v from it as well as running a ground wire into it as well. I then hooked up the n/o connection to Coin1 on the IPac as well as running the second ground connection to the second ground on the IPac (I have all the controls going into the first ground).

Anyways its working but sometimes it's not actually registering credits and when I move the coin door slightly or sometime not actually do anything it starts sending LOTS of pulses out as tho its got stuck.
Does anybody have any idea as to whats happing, also do I need to run that second ground into the IPac? Is it likely to be a faulty credit board

Many thanks
Sean

The 12v for from the PC PSU is only for the lights right?

I would check the wiring and make sure nothing is loose or shorted.

He's talking about one of those electronic coin acceptors.

sounds like you've got it wired up correctly - it's the same setup as I have.

check the wiring on the credit board to make sure that theres not a short between the NO and COMMON  connectors.
