Hi all, my MAME cab is nearly complete. Check out pics here: http://www.cs.mcgill.ca/~mghase/mamecab
My one problem is configuring the display properly. I was wondering if anyone could provide the various frequency ranges, p clock, etc of the standard MK2 monitor (it is a wells gardner, model number starts with a 7).
Let me know what you guys think! :)

After seeing the "guts" picture.
I'd like to nominate you for the:

Ouch, that hurt. :'(
Well, it has been cleaned up significantly since those pictures were taken. All those wires hanging down are the original MK2 buttons/joysticks which were just removed from the CP and dumped into the cab. That's been fixed, they are now correctly connected to the corresponding buttons/joysticks on the CP.
Same with the second pic showing a mass of wires under the CP connected to the encoder. Got rid of the encoder and things are much, much cleaner now.
It might not look like much, but I took great pride in converting the cab. I'm not used to working with my hands or dealing with electronics, so the fact that I have set up a fully functional MAME cabinet is a big deal for me.

Good start. Glad to hear it has been cleaned up. I think that viewing the original pictures most people would be worried that your cab might short out. Nothing like hanging wires and vigorous game play to cause problems.
As for the freq ranges and p clock stuff I will have to defer to someone who has setup advmame or advmenu.

I've got a question and please don't get mad when I ask this... What in the hell did you do to the control panel? That couldn't be comfortable for any games that use more than 3 buttons. Couldn't you afford to get a piece of plywood and make a new cp instead of ruining a mint mk2 cp?
