There's no gamelist on the docs folder on this version
-

Does anybody know how to get it from the executable?
Surprisingly they have not removed -listfull, so you could use this to get a gameslist...

What I wanted was the status of the Roms regarding sound, video and working plus name and internal name.
-listfull only gives the name.
I've checked the XML option and all the data is there. What should I use to create an excel from that? Anybody knows the best way to do it?
Thanks

Which version of Excel are you using?

Has the DOS command line version been abandonned by mame.net?
-
Why do you ask that? Because hte DOS version isn't currently available? If so that's because someone else ports the code to dos so oyu have to wait.
-
Right, i understand, thanks SirPoonga.

It took 13 days to get the DOS version of .99 after the source came out. I, for one, will be waiting with joystick in hand (get your minds out of the gutter, you sickos! >:() for dosmame .100 so that I can finally play Top Gunner on my Vectormame...
-
So are there many of you lot still using DOS as your OS?
When i didn't see it listed i presumed we were a dying breed...
-
I'm using it because the Zektor Vector Generator is currently supported only in DOS, and my setup is a vectormame. Dmame now has ZVG support built in, so I can update along with everybody else. Of course, I can still only play about 35 games... Even if I were running standard mame, I think I would still use DOS, because now I'm confortable with it and I think its faster. Getting that PCI soundcard working was no fun, though.

I gave up on the Dos a while ago.
I found that Hardware manufactures Dos drivers are quire poor in general. They just don't care anymore.

Sounds great, I didn't know stardard dmame had Zektor support.
Do you have any pics of your vector machine? Haven't seen many before...
-
Sure. The site blows (as does the control panel), but here it is:

(Man, I really need to update that site!)
ZVG support was built in starting in .96, I think. That means that, through the magic of the ZVG, we can now play QB-3 and (soon) Exidy Top Gunner (not the Taito raster game) as they were meant to be played.

Cool :) I actually have seen that one before, I remember the 'vector victor' title!

Thanks. The lame pictures do not do it justice. There really is nothing like a vector monitor, IMO. Since these pix, I have learned how to use the tweak software that comes with the ZVG. Basically, the display is now MUCH brighter and more intense (in the picture it looks dimmer than Tempest, which it was). The monitor has also been recapped, which made a big difference.

For all of you usenet users....there is a .100 flood going on right now in a.b.mame
