A guy at work claims he heard something on the news about a Play Station 2 recall, and was wanting more info.
is it true or did he mis-hear things?
details please so I can let him know.......

The AC adaptors for the newer Slim PS2's are vulnerable to overheating/melting/fire. They are replacing them for free.

That's the way I understand it. The external PS for the new, tiny PS2 is the part that's causing this problem. If you have one of the older fatties, you're not effected by this recall.

Just been checking.
The models affected are only the slim black (silver are OK) ones produced till December 2004, after that everything should be OK.
