I have searched this site and found some good information on driving controls.
For example.
http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=160;start=0
I want to setup two gas pedals for Championship sprint.
I can by new pedals with pots from happs, or some used ones from other atari driving games.
I will be using u_rebelscums great mame:analog+. ;)
I also found this great page on wiring.
http://www.gunpowder.freeserve.co.uk/wheels/wiring.htm
My questions are.
1.) (u_rebelscum) Will analog+ be able to use the two pedals on one joystick hacked port. ( I think by my research the answer is yes, but just wanted to confirm)
2.) Arcade pots. Are they 5k and the PC needs 100k, or is it the opposite. What pots should be used for the PC joystick port.
3.) What else should I know to rig up an arcade pedal to use in mame:analog+ (for csprint, ssprint, and APB).
om
P.S.
Analog+ is a great.
And thanks for all the effort and help from you fine retor-arcade maniac folks-----like myself.

Yes. Standard mame now can do it, too, even though the FAQs has not been updated to say that, yet.

You're right, and you should use 100k for the gameport.

I'd setup a pedal.ini from the ctrlr/ini folder. Since most people don't have an analog pedal, the default input for pedals are buttons, but you can override that with a ctrlr/*/pedal.ini file. Read the mame/docs/ctrlr.txt and check out http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/mamecontrolini.htm for some more help.
