I have always liked the SEGA arcade ports to the Dreamcast. As you can find a DC for about $20 at ebgames and games for about $1, I figured my next project would be Dreamcast cab to compliment my Dreamcast driver (by far the kids favorite).
I didn't document the build process, but I think the final product turned out nice.

Wow - looks great. Do Dreamcast games play well with arcade controls? What about games like NBA2K where the pressure sensitive triggers were very important?

They are all digital controls, no analog. The 2 triggers are replaced by digital buttons. Therefore games that reply on those don't work too well (like you mentioned the free throw in NBA 2K). Fighters play perfectly (at least the ones I've played). The arcade type ports of sports games like Blitz 2K1, Hoopz and the like play nicely as long as they don't use the analog stick too much. I find Blitz plays great.
All that being said, I can still simply plug in the old controller for those that need it.

I would like to build a dreamcast cabinet and but were can you find the arcade games for it? I finally gave up and sold/traded all my dreamcast stuff.
I couldn't find the dreamcast games that I want now. Like Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, Guilty Gear, and all the other arcade fighters.
I did have Soul Calibur tho.....where to find the others, ebgames was all sold out. And the games are like $20 on ebay.

True...the pickins are getting slim...but about 6 months ago, the ebgames here in austin, tx all decided to ship all their dc gear to one store and clear it out. I found a bunch then.

Coin mechs are not wired in. I can't see a function for them on a DC. The cab may revert back to a Phoenix someday so I left 'em there for completeness.
