Yes, but you have to rotate your windows desktop. Or is it possibly to rotate AtomicFE by 90 or 270 degrees on a 800 x 600 desktop for example without rotating the windows desktop?
If you rotate your desktop I would say every windows application can run 'vertically'. ;)

Swindus, stop talking without knowing what about your talk please.
I read your other post in German on german forums talking about Atomic and Animated layouts You never tried it , and you have absoltly no idea of what it can do or not and how i did that.
So , i don't comment your FE , so don't comment mine.
You don't have rotate windows desktop to rotate Atomic. Atomic can have specifics vertical layouts and as well use horizontal in vertical mode. Atomic rotate the layout for you.

Hey, it was just a question. :P
Thanks for explaining ...

Never talked bad about your frontend! Maybe you misunderstood some things on the german boards because it is written in german. And yes, I tried your frontend. So calm down ...

I realise the point is probably moot now but just to answer the question...swindus' answer was correct with respect to Mamewah, not AtomicFE, ie Mamewah can be used vertically but only if your Windows desktop is rotated.
This will probably change, but not for a long time...
