Title: Game List not showing up in AtomicFE
Post by: gonzobrian on September 10, 2005, 02:25:35 am
Don't know what I did but game list no longer show up using AtomicFE.  I tried to set up game list using cfg files for all my emulators and was having an odd problem trying to get my Super Nintendo emu zsnes.exe to work using the multi config wizard.  I have the emu working well on my cab but when ever I try to add it using the multi config wizard it shows up as Nintendo 64.  No mater what I type it always changes the name to Nintendo 64, so long as I try to add both cfg's, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64.  I cant get zsnes to work at all using the multi config wizard.  After this problem I am no longer able to create a atomic.cfg file that will show the name of the roms.  Have any ideas?

Hi,

What version of Atomic Fe you use?   I corrected bugs in the Multiconf wizard on the 0.14 , in previous one you could not change the "displayed name" (it had no effect).

When you use multiconf wizard, the Starting "default" configuration is changed from Atomic.Cfg  to <your multiconf folder>\main.cfg

If you want start again on Atomic.cfg , open it with AtomicManager and click on the "Set up as start config" button.    (do that with version 0.14 , there was a bug in 0.12)

Of i doesn't help you .   Drop a mail with more details and may be you could zip me your "multiconf" folder , i will have a look to understand what happens.

Thanks for the quick patch, but on trying to load my multi.cfg I get "+Ball & Paddle.ini n'est pas une valeur entiere correcte."  Also I am not able to create a cfg using Atomic Manager that will show game list.  Also I'm trying to figure out if you ever go to sleep ;D

I was having problems with the Multi-conf the other day too. I would go through every step and then nothing! Hopefully your new fix will take care of this. Look forward to your patch. I think I've begun to like AtomicFE the best out of the front ends. ;D

Wast3d , the patch is available online now. You can try it, it should work now. (i hope!)

GonzoBrian , i have changed something in the load it is why you have this error. (i think in my mail i said you to start a "brand new multiconf"?..

Anyway , try that :

Go in your Multiconf folder, you should find a file called : conf.multiconf  , open it with the notepad , and replace the  3rd row by a number (ex : 2 )  (it is the index in the item in the combobox, it is not a problem if you don't put the when which match with your selection , you can change it after )
Save the file , and re-open the Multiconf , it should work now.

Anyway, i think despite the error you saw, your "multiconf" should have been loaded. Simply ignore the error.

Thanks Youki I sorry I posted before I cked my email.  Should have know that you would have responded to my email.  I will try what you suggest tonight.  I did try to procede with the multi config after the error message but it would not allow me to save at the end.  It gave another error message that I don't remember right now.  Will give it a go tonight.

Well finally getting around to trying things out.  I have started a new atomic.cfg file and I don't seem to be able to change the font size.  I can select a biger size using atomic manager but I can't get it to save my selection.  I click OK and set as start up and save and it reverts back to it's previous, too small, setting.  I have added a line to atomic.cft FONTRATIO=3 as I seem to remember that worked best for me in the past.  Any ideas?

Hi Gonzobrian,

Do you try to find the font size on the first config file loaded or a config file which would be in the Configuration tree?

What layout do you use?    you speak about the font in the List of games?

If you use a "personnal" layout, send it to me by mail, i will try with yours.

Thanks.

Youki, I am creating a new atomic.cfg with just my Mame roms.  The cfg files for my other emus work fine as they were created before the change.  I was trying to get this main cfg file working right before I rerun the multi cfg wizard.  I have tried creating a new atomic.cfg with Nuss Space layout and Nuss run and jump both of which has the game list with the font size way too small.  When I try to change this in the atomic manager it does not save my changes to select a bigger font size for the list.  Thanks as alwasy for your help.

Humm.. I tried , i don't have any problem changing the font size with the 0.14 for the nuss space or others layouts .  And it saves my changes.

Are you sure you are looking the right file?  May be you have more than one Atomic.cfg in different folder and you think to be in one folder but your in another one.. or something like that.  I do this kind of errors sometimes.

May be your file is in a "read only" mode?
