Title: Funny ebay Item
Post by: NoOne=NBA= on September 08, 2005, 09:52:31 pm
Does the description in this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/WORKING-WILLIAMS-UNKNOWN-GAME-CONTROL-BOARDS-NON-JAMMA_W0QQitemZ6207907462QQcategoryZ13718QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) strike anyone else as incredibly funny?

If it were working when removed then it probably would have been fairly easy to determine what board it was before pulling it, huh?

I was guessing so.
Maybe I'm wrong.

What is a "control board" he has all his boards listed as control boards. I'd send him a message about it (How he is using a term in his title that seems to made up), but I'm sure I'll just get a nasty reply and a threat of a lawsuit.

Years ago I used to send "helpful" messages to beany baby sellers all the time. Most of them would threaten you with a lawsuit if you so much as mentioned the fact that they had $6-10 worth of auction enhancements (featured, gift, etc) on a $5 bear.

Well, yeah, but how much rationality could you really expect from someone selling Beanie Babies?
...
Thank god that craze died.

No, I hate beanie babies, why do you think I was hassling beanie baby sellers.  ;D

Other favorite questions included

"Why would anyone pay $100 for a $2 toy?"

"I'm confused, how many of them do I get for that price, it couldn't just be one, but thats what it looks like your auction says."

"If I buy this can you cut the tags off first, I like to let the kids open the up, and I don't want anyone choking."

"Do your neighbors smoke? I know you said you don't, but I am afraid some smoke might have wafted in from next door."

"Can you certify that the no one working at the shop you originally purchased this at was a smoker."

"Do you know any Beanie baby sellers who do smoke? I smoke, and don't want to hurt any non-smoking toys."

Paige is officially off the hook. Buzzing beanie baby sellers sounds like a great hobby. :)

Fantastic new insult: "Go stuff your beanie baby with pez". I'm going to start using it right away.
