RetroBlast has just started up a new four-month long contest which features some truly extraordinary prizes:
- SlikStik Lighted Joystick Handles (4 pairs)
- X-Arcade Trackball Controllers (5 controllers)
- X-Arcade Midway Games Pack CD (50 CDs)
and to top it all off, a fantastic grand prize: your choice of a side-by-side or head-to-head cocktail cabinet from Dream Arcades (a $699 value!)
And, as the saying goes, "but wait, that's not all!" because I'm also going to be having numerous surprise or "pop-up" contests for all sorts of gaming goodies. It's going to be a fun four months!
Full details on the RetroBlast Front Page.

Good luck!

I'm getting a "not found" when I click the buttons to enter the contests. :(
Thanks for setting up such a neat contest though.

The buttons use a javascript to open a mailto: form (it keeps the email addresses munged right until you click to avoid spambots)
I'll add a "manual" entry method for those for whom the buttons don't work.

That's probably what my problem is. Most game-related sites are blocked when I'm at work. The method that I use to... circumvent this problem tends to not be JS friendly. Thanks for hooking me up with a manual entry.

The mailto launches a blank email, but I'm not sure what I am supposed to do with it. Do you need my address in the body? Or are you simply collecting email addresses as the entry?
You might want to add some text indicating what information you are looking for in your entry email.
Thanks!

Thanks for setting up the manual entry. I've entered all three. :)

Let's hope, if I am selected, that your email to me does not get filtered as spam!

I actually had that happen on the last contests, since I replied from the "contest" email address.
I now use my site's "info" email address for notifications, as it seems to survive most filters (that, and I avoid using phrases such as "You are a WINNER!!!!!" in the subject line ;))

Just entered all 3.
Come on Lady Luck...no more coals in the stockings please

I should win the coctail cab- I won a cocktail when I was 13, so I have experience. ;D
Thanks for the giveaways, and the great site!

Just added Alawar games to the contest: they're offering a "virtual game pack," where you pick any 3 games from their catalog. They're giving away six of these "packs".
And I've got another sponsor to announce soon - looks to be some great prizes, but it's going to be interesting to see the reaction...

MORE CONTEST PRIZES!
Two more companies have jumped on board the 2005 RetroBlast Giveaways:
GameRoom Magazine: They will be offering several unique "6 & 6" subscriptions (6 new issues and six back issues) and some copies of their pinball video "Pleasure Machines: The History of Pinball"
Rollie Electronics (aka "PonyBoy" here in the forums): Rollie Electronics will be donating four pairs of their new translucent joysticks to the contest.
Full details, as always at http://retroblast.com
(Oh, and I've still got at least one more really big prize coming... ;))

Kevin -- simply amazing contests and nice to see GameRoom Magazine there (I'm a recent subscriber and really enjoy it).
Thanks & Cheers.

Me too - I've been a subscriber for a couple of years.
I wrote my first article for them a few issues back (all about the creation of RetroBlast), and will probably be reprinting the article on RetroBlast soon.

I looked on the site, but I didn't see the actual draw dates. Are you going to post the winners on your site somewhere? Great prizes you are giving away, I would love to win a marquee!
-
The contest page details the draw schedule for the contests:
http://retroblast.com/articles/contest.html
Most of the contests are either weekly or monthly, with a few big prizes (such as the grand prize) being drawn in early December (sorry, don't have a specific date yet, but the goal is to have the prize in the winner's hands before Christmas!)
I'm posting the winners' names on the news page with each drawing, and also notifying them via email.
Next drawing is for another 5 X-Gaming Midway Games CDs this Friday, and then things get fun next week, when I pick the first winners in each of these contests:
- Alawar "pick 3" game winner on Monday
- SlikStik lighted joysticks on Tuesday
- MAMERoom Marquee on Wednesday
- Rollie joysticks on Thursday
- GameRoom subscription (and next set of 5 X-Gaming CD's!) on Friday.
I'm just warming up, in other words. ;)
I've still got one more very cool giveaway to announce, but not until October.

Cool! My cab and artwork makes the front page of Retro Blast! Although, not for the cab itself, but as an example of Mame Marquees work. Very cool! 8)

Oh, forgot to mention, thanks for the contests. You don't see many arcade contests around anymore (well, atleast I don't).
