A few questions regarding material to use for my cab.
- How bad is it to use particle board, it's really

Can you just buy hardwood triangles? I've never seen them at Home Despot but they'd be really helpful for making my pinball cabinet.

All are arcade cabs made of the same materials?
-
They're pretty much made from those materials, but not every cabinet is made from MDF.
Original Nintendo cabs were plywood (and LIGHTweight, and very easy to move), most of Atari's cabs were a laminated partical board (and HEAVY as heck)... every manufacturer had their own plan it seems.
MDF takes paint well compared to plywood and partical board which soak it up like a sponge.

Almost every arcade game I have seen was made out of particle board... I used MDF on my first mame cabinet, but I will use Particle board on my next one, MDF reminds me of thick paper, its real soft, powfery, and if you bash a corner in crinkles up like a peice of cardboard.
