looks like fuel to buy a revolution hehe. Looks great.

I'm not that impressed, I mean when I first saw an article on this a month or two ago it looked pretty slick. But after watching the videos just now, it wasn't all that. Looks like fun, I guess I was just hoping for some new spin on the game. It doesn't look like it offers much more than the N64 version other than better graphics, targeting and you can see a pic of your opponent.
They needed to take this game to the next level. It doesn't look like they did. It would've been sweet if you could pick different vehicles (cars, motorcycles, planes, helicopters, hovercrafts). Or maybe some sort of team play or something where players could work together.
This looks like more of the same to me. I'll still plunk a dollar in when I see one tho! 8)

They did that with Diddy Kong Racing and i didnt like it.
Hoverboats, Planes... it just wasnt the same.
Mario Kart doesnt need to change its fundamentals.... Its pretty much the same game for the past 10 years and its sold MILLIONS.
Mario Kart is a multiplayer god.

All the N64 version needed was better graphics to be great.(if it wasn't already) Now with new maps and different weapons and it's an arcade game, I'll take a stand up version or 2 for the house anyday over anything else.
Great game, don't change a winner.

The GameCube(tm) version MarioKart DoubleDash is actually really fun. Graphics are much better than the N64. They also added some minor gameplay features like, 2 drivers per kart & each character has their own "special" weapon that only they can get.

So in actuality this is coming to North America? I hope so.
-
IF anyone finds one in the Greater Toronto Area! Let me know please!
-
I don't know if anyone can justify the cost on these things. For a dual sitdown setup it's going to cost $17,000. I found this out from a distributor about a month ago.
-
$17,000?
Uhh... That means atleast $2 a play! Minimum most likely >:(
-
just wait for 7 years, the Borg(i mean mame) will consume it. :P
-
And we will have 100GHZ Monsters.... 50,000 MB RAM
To play it On! :)
And Cruisn will still be running slow. haha.

you do know , the sidewinder works on mario cart emus .?
-
Microsoft Sidewinder you mean? For controlling the game?
Mario Kart must be played on the actual system. Its so much better using the original controls 8)
