Wow, what in the world was he thinking staying there? I hope he turns up, what a tragic loss to the music world that would be.

title sounded like the start of another bacon thread.........

I doubt he was one of the people who didn't have a car and couldn't afford to evacuate.......

That's what I thought whan I said "what was he thinking?" The article clearly states that he chose to remain at home. Very strange.

I've been trying to keep myself from saying this from the moment I first read this thread, but I can no longer contain myself.

Maybe when the residents of NO were told to head to higher ground, Fats went to Bluberry Hill. Has anyone checked there?

I'm sorry.

I think they just didn't believe it was going to happen. They have put up with hurricanes in the past and thought that they would just ride it out. Here in Cali we get earthquakes all the time. We also know of aftershocks. I still will buy my house here soon. Yes I would evacuate if told but I think that they didn't imagine it would be so bad.

Maybe it isn't. Ain't that a shame?

Again my apologies. I'm honestly not trying to make light of a terrible situation, I just can't resist a bad pun.

He's the guy who started Domino's Pizza.

Ironically, no.  He actually started Papa John's.

He is 77 years old anyway, even without any hurricanes his life expectancy would only be a few years. Once a man gets that old, each birthday is statistically probably going to be his last one.
