Title: change trackball color with light
Post by: amerish on September 01, 2005, 08:35:06 am
I have the happ 3" trackball in red (or orange snot when unlit if you like).  I am picking up a new ultra bright light to replace the light.  This led will alternate colors (red and blue).  Has anyone tried lighting a colored trackball to modify its appearance in such a way?  If so what results did you get.

I'm just curious, since the light is on the way.

I've got a Macally trackball that I changed from blue to red----ish.
It is a lighter blue than the Happ ones to start with though.
I just slapped a red light from Radio Shack onto it, and it has spots of red/purple/blue that just kind of play across it depending on your position, the ambient lighting, etc...

I don't know how well you're going to color change a Happ one though because they are actually colored.
The Macally I have looks almost clear, by comparison.
