I like the shading of the cloth!
A question though: I notice you work with outlines, how do these scale when you enlarge the image?

That is a very good question Felsir, as this will be going on the side of my Cab and will need to scale up to a large size. So some testing I will do...
I just tried grouping and resizing and they scale with the other components.
-
Ah, good, usually the line thickness doesn't scale proportionally with the image. When the image is scaled up, the line thickness should also scale up, otherwise the picture looks odd.
-
Wow I cant belive how accurate it looks, great work as usual ! :)
-
Thanks Snaake, I try my best to make it as accurate as I can to the original.
Ken now has some Feet :D
-
Great work, that will look awesome on the side of a cab.

I have finished this vector and added the shadow under Ken and also fixed some small errors I found. I will upload to the Library soon for all to enjoy :D
Stay tuned for my next Vector Project...Comming SOON!!!

Excellent work.
You vector kids are a bloody marvel.

Thanks for the link walls83! There is some awesome source material there!
-
Are you going to upload that to the Art Library?
-
Cool art on that site! Too bad no MK though...
I just might have to vectorize this Last Blade character for the side of my cab. I love that game!
-

His name is Falcoon.
Thanks Walls, I am Already a big fan of Falcoon's Art, I am thinking of doing Chung-li on the other side...
Are you going to upload that to the Art Library?
Yes I will upload when I convert it to an AI as I currently use Macromedia Freehand and I have to test the conversion, as I have found in the past that it sometimes does not save correctly in AI format.

That would look good on the side of a Cab, hope to see you vector it soon :D
-
Great Job! It looks awesome. Can't wait to see more.
It's good to see Falcoon's art vectorized. I really admire that guy.
He's a fan artist that ended up getting drafted to do the King of Fighters 2003 official artwork. It's like a dream come true.
I still favor Bengus (from capcom) and Hyung-Tae Kim (Softmax) as my favorite game illustrators, but falcoon's stuff is usually great.
Felsir--within Illustrator all you have to do is make sure the "scale strokes & effects" checkbox is on. I'm not sure if Visio has such an option (maybe in preferences?).
-
If anyone is interested regarding the line issue. In Illustrator, select the image then go to the Object menu and click Expand. Turn off the fill option if you dont want the gradients to be converted to shapes. Basically this turns the outlines into solid shapes which will proportionally scale with the rest of the image.
I had the same issues with my Trigun artwork.

Heh, yeah, it's an old thread. I've only been active on the boards for about a year, so it's way before my time. Invader70 hasn't posted since 2005. I hope you're right and someone can send me the file or point me in the right direction.
I like this Ken art (and Invader70's Chun-Li art) since it's a good style match for the Ryu Sideart on vectorlib.free.fr that I have on my art already.
Does anyone know what "Art Library" he posted it to? I don't remember seeing this on Local Arcade.
