Hey Guys,
So I decided to order a big sheet of perforated 20 gauge steel from McMaster to make speaker grills. The sheet of steel came the other day and I mounted it on my CNC router to be cut for this coming week. I'm toying with the idea of maybe putting them on the GameCab website but I'm not really sure if an interest woiuld exist.
Now here are the questions:
1. What sizes of speaker grills would you guys want to see?
2. Would anyone even be interested? (Forget the price on this one, I'm looking for a general interest only)
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Charlie

I don't know. I'm making mine out of cloth

I'm experimenting with 120mm fan grills for mine. I haven't yet put my ideas into physical form yet...
I bought these:

I'm hoping to mount it under the laminate of my sound board and hide the bolts. To do that I will have to route out the area under the grill.
I'm using 4.5" car audio speakers... so 120mm works fine. I would like to see the 120mm larger in all directions, there is not a great deal of extra material tangent to the circle (raised portion) of the grill. I'm also wondering if there will be any "buzzing" from my mounting technique...
To answer your question... yes interested
thanks

Jim,
PM me with the exact size that you are looking for and I'll see if I can make a set of grills for you.
Thanks

As a person who has a cnc router table, I have a question for you. When you cut material on the router table, do you clamp your material down or just rely on the vaccume to hold it down? Also; do you put sacrificial material down under the material you are routing?

I'd be interested!
