Title: Will we ever see a data east collection ?

It seems that everyone's releasing compilation disk of t5here old arcade classics. From what i have read
Sega acquired the data east game licenses in 1994.

 I Wonder why they haven't released a compilation disc  ???

Didnt Data East pay for licenses or something for alot of there games? If they wanted to release a compilation, wouldnt they need to buy the licenses again?

that or im off my rocker.

I think tey did pay por some of them. But ssomeone else would have to buy them data east went. under a few years ago :(
