Fellow Bacon loving BYOAC'rs, I have a confession to make. Last night I took part in an act that can only be described as bacon blasphemy.

On returning from the pub last night I decided that the pefect snack to aid my beer induced stomach rumblings would be a bacon sandwich, what else?

I grilled the bacon, buttered my bread and all was going to plan until in my drunken stupor I decided to do something that goes against the holy bacon bible, i actually added some spinich, waterscress and rocket to the otherwise pure pork treat.

Adding salad, vegetables or any other healthy item to an otherwise delactable pork item is the most ham-henious crime possible known to bacon purists.

The worst part of my ordeal is that I actually enjoyed it, although my sandwich didnt seem to as it mocked me by squirting tomato ketchup all over my trousers.

I woke up this morning feeling used and dirty and had to clense myself with a pure pork breakfast.

As you can see it is not a pretty sight and I will understand if this post is sent to post hell and I also realise I may be flammed forever and possibly kicked off the board.

The reason for posting my evil act is because I believe confessing my sin to the Brothers Of Bacon (BOB as you shall all be know) is the only way to repentance.

that's an odd sandwich.  you butter bread for sandwiches without mayonnaise or mustard?  no lettuce, just spinach?

Two questions.

1.  What is 'rocket'?

2.  Why in the .... would you have all that green stuff around?  Thats not food, thats what food eats.

Actually the ketchup disturbs me more than the greens. Everyone knows that bacon sammiches need a big heap of mayo.

@duffjr - I had no mayo or mustard, it was all used up at our house warming bbq this weekend.

Ah, OK, Arugula I understand. :)

Althought, when I saw the header "Spice Pages" I expected pictures of Posh and Sporty...
