Fat chance right!
I need 4... Lit...
Is there unlit ones? Or do they just take the light out? ???
-
Yep, try eBay.
-
nope, not ePay, try http://www.gamecab.com/
*NEW* high cones, *NEW* low cones, a link to the *NEW* lighted switches...it's like heaven..:-)
(oh yeah, they had unlit switches back in the day, but they were actually opaque black plastic as opposed to the lit clear red plastic ones..)
-
Has anybody actually bought those switches yet? Pictures?
-
go here
http://www.gamecab.com/images/bandswit.jpg
to see what they look like...
The cones are inexpensive.. :)
but new switches and lenses will run ~ $60 CDN for three sets (about $42 US funds)
-
Yeah, saw that pic, but I'm more interested in seeing what one looks like with the led & lens, ya know? What it looks like UNDER the panel, I don't care about.

If you get 'em, you owe us some pics. ;D
-
This is an EAO switch !!!! European made :) Maybe for once, we Europeans are better of the all you US people :) But those switches are never cheap, industrial quality....
The Dutch branch is "just around the corner" for me :) :)
Will pay them a visit next monday ;D
However, I cannot find the 11 series on their site: www.eao.com
They probably have follow up in another series....
http://www.eao.com/enl/nl/products/series/series_14.asp
and click on Series Overview on the right....think the 18 and 19 series come, at least, VERY close.

Asteroids, etc... used the lit red ones, so they would flash on coinup.
Missle Command generally used opaque black ones, but they were often replaced with whatever was handy when they went out.
Midway also had their version of the lit ones, used on Omega Race, Discs of Tron, etc...
They had shorter cones than the Atari version though.
Xenophobe had a mix of red ones with/without the LED inside.
The ones that didn't have the LED inside are a translucent red, vs. the transparent red of the lit ones, so they aren't quite as dark as the true lit ones.

Missile Command also used the lit ones. The lit ones are always for player start buttons (on just about every machine Atari and Kee made). Where it deviates is that MC also used three non-lit cone buttons for actual gameplay.
Level42: Don't forget what I said in your other thread: You need the aluminum cones for Dominos.

So the Dominos are red lit and aluminium...mmmm, could get the Gamecab plastic cones and put some aluminium paint on them.... only 12 hours before I'm going to rescue a par of arcade history ;)

Check your PMs. I'll trade you 2 aluminum cones for 2 black plastic. Your challenge now is to find 2 black plastic cones. ;-)

So do you need "high" or "low" cones ?
And are the Dominos the high or the low version ?
So I guess ordering at GameCab.com is not possible RayB ?

I'm not picky. I HAVE buttons with cones. I will use them on a MAME machine be they plastic or aluminum. I'm just trying to do you a favor if you want to restore the machine with the correct authentic parts. If you don't care about using black plastic ones, then don't worry about.
