What do guidance counselors do, anyway?  Seriously, in my public school years, I met mine once, for 5 minutes.

At this school they pretty much just handle schedule changes, but you also get your regular crybabies who want to come and whine about how unfair life is every day.

Ah, at my high school, those kids just got high in the unused stairwells.

So you need several full time employees, for an entire school year, to handle schedule changes?

Sadly that would be the case. We've taught the kids that it's okay to fail, you can keep switching teachers until you hit an easy one.

Yes, but it takes minutes to process a schedule change.  You can't possibly have several hundred of them a day for the entire school year.

Yes, but you must use this opportunity to eliminate the others' positions, appropriating part of their salary because you inherited their entire workload.

You are Hu Law.  You are nobody's ---smurfette---.  They are yours.

You will be The One.

Seriously.  Get on the school committee.  Tell them that 2 counselors could handle the load of the current 5.  Raise the 2 survivor's salaries by 30% while eliminating 3 salaries for a net gain in the high 5 figures.

You can eliminate your peers, increase your security and your salary, and be a cost cutting hero to the administration.

and then he can get stabbed in the parking lot by the three now emotionally distraught counselors that he got fired.

Dude, they're GUIDANCE COUNSELORS.  It will take them 40 days just to work through the concept that they aren't employed anymore.

What are they going to do, write him mediocre letters of recommendation?

It would be a lot more emotionally fulfilling on my part if I could just chop off heads.

I'm pretty sure there's a clause in my contract that forbids me from doing that.

Well you just thought about chopping off heads... which may not have a specific clause in your contract, but is almost certainly frowned upon.

Okay, I guess my loose grip on reality will allow a minor distortion in my own personal space-time continuationator.

He may get away with it if he follows the nailing of the chicks with the chopping of the heads.

For a while, anyway.

Probably at least a half hour. Possibly as long as 40 minutes if my luck holds.

I'm thinking at your age, you'd last 20-40 seconds with a hot teenage girl.

The problem with hot teenage girls is that they're wasted on teenage boys that don't know what the hell they're doing yet.
