After looking around here for so long, I have realized one thing. You guys are some creative and crafty mother $%^&$S.
I coach a high school lacrosse team here in Texas. Its damn hot here. I am looking to build a way to deliver water to the players during practice without having to fill up multiple bottles and coolers.
I have seen some things on the net about a cart that is pressurized and has hoses to deliver the water. Some have been battery operated.
My question is what would you come up with? I can make a cart out of whatever, that's not the issue, the issue is how to deliver the water and make it beneficial over taking jugs out to the field.
Gracias...

At the risk of oversimplifying, why not a cooler like these?

10 gallons, insulated, seen on the back of every work vehicle in the world...
-
yeah i dont see why a giant 10 gallon thing wouldnt work. like how far do you have to walk from where youre parking, im assuming at a highschool thing u can probably pull onto the grass pretty close to the field
-
As an engineer, I'd suggest a hose.
-
get one of these:
(somebody had to post it)

Here is a cart-based solution.

It has a pressurized hose that delivers water...

It's just a shame that it's not field-hockey... Mmmmmm hosing down sweaty 18-yr old coeds wearing white blouses and short little plaid skirts!
As an alternative, you could always get a case of these. (http://38.112.130.166/Videos/Medium_QT/Don't_Shake_The_Bottle.mov)

Most Fields have a fence. Take a PVC pipe, long, and punch holes in it all the way down and fix it to the fence. Attach a garden hose and let it rip. You will have individual drinking holes for all. YEAH!!!

Sad thing is, my school actually took the above idea to heart.

Nice ones! Of course I knew what I was doing posting this. I have been around here enough. lol. It takes me a week to get a response to a cabinet building question but this rocks!
-
Get the biggest "portable shower" thing you can find and connect it to a horizontal PVC pipe with twist levers at a dozen spots on it (make sure you use supplies suited for delivering potable water). Raise the bag a couple inches above the spouts & you're set.

That is so unsanitary it makes me want to cry and puke.
At the same time.

Beats little league baseball, oh, back in '79 or so...
"Here kids, heres a galvanized metal bucket that has never been washed full of water with a big metal ladle in it... Drink your fill." :)
Its a wonder we all survived.
