I recently got a cabinet with a 19" Electrohome G07 and the monitor seems to be in real nice shape with no burn in. The only problem that I noticed is that the red doesn't seem to be displaying properly. What happens is if there is an object that is red in color, the left side of the object will look fine but the red on the right side of the object will be faded.
My guess would be that there is a capacitor that is not holding its charge and it's causing the red gun to lose its intensity as it is going from left to right.
What I was wondering is, will a standard cap kit fix this problem, or what exactly would be the solution?
Thanks

Start with a capkit anyway. Be sure to look for bad solder joints especially at the video input connector and around the flyback.
If it still doesn't look right after the capkit then you may need to turn up the red "cutoff" and/or the red drive pots on the neckboard slightly.
And if after all that it still doesn't look right then you have a weak picture tube that needs rejuvenation.
