I was curious about using a laptop for my mame cabinet to be built...
Would I be able to just hook it up to the monitor and keywiz and stuff somehow when I wanted to play games, but then disconnect it and take it with me when I go out of town?
I ask this because I dont have any other decent computers that I dont use most of the time and my laptop is pretty decent specs...
My plan was to have it sitting in a hidden tray, connected to the monitor, keywiz, speakers, etc.
EDIT: Only thing I can think that might not work is it only has one USB port...If I knew what a PS/2 port looked like, i could count those too.

You really only NEED one USB port.
Get a powered hub to plug into it, and you should be good with most stuff.
Unpowered hubs cause most of the problems that you will run into with USB stuff.
Make sure you have a PS/2 port before you buy a KeyWiz though.
If you don't, then you'll have to go with an I-pac, or one of the GP-Wiz controllers to use the USB.

Excuse my arcade newbiness, but what should I be looking for? What does a PS/2 port look like?
Also, by powered hub...what are you meaning? Right now it just has a cable, then a box, then a cable that connects to the wall. Is this what you mean? Sorry about such simple questions

Ah gotcha, yea, I have a mouse that I plug into that.
So, I'd just have to use the touchpad to service it? But besides that, it would work, right?
