Title: Look what I picked up this weekend. (And ID the conversion)
Post by: dabone on August 21, 2005, 08:56:31 pm
Picked up a couple of cabs this weekend.

Robotron conversion.
(Name the cab)

And one I've been wanting a while.

Cost: 350.00

Robotron needed a ram and a sync board for the 4600.
(Had both laying around)

Defender was a pain in the #%#%&#*%&#(*%^#(*%^, ended up replacing the power harness, reflowing the linear power supply (It still provides -12 and 6.3ac)
Removed the TABLE CLOTH they had put under the glass.

I'm going to transfer the robotron boardset to my multiwilliams cab that I'm working on.

p.s. I'm putting a Super High Impact up for sale in the fs forum.

(I'm running out of room)

Tempest?  Tough to tell from front, but that's my best guess.

Tempest, I think.  I'd have to see the profile.

Edit: as I was typing, someone else had the same idea.

Bingo, tempest it is.

Strange converting one classic into another.

Strange converting one classic into another.

Not if the monitor went out.
It was probably cheaper to do the conversion than to replace the monitor.
