Title: Smooth Pushbuttons?
Post by: TurboC-- on August 20, 2005, 01:13:09 pm
I looked at the pushbuttons available at ultimarc and also happ, and I'm not sure about their texture.  Are they perfectly smooth, or is the surface more textured?  I want to match my Pac-man start buttons exactly, I think they should be plain smooth/shiny white.  Hmm...

Yeah Happ buttons are smooth. I've never seen any with a texture.
You should be using leaf buttons anyways, so order them from Bob Roberts (http://homearcade.org/BBBB/siteindex.html).

Leafs for a start button....happy hunting ! And also, WHY ?????

I use leafs for my game buttons for sure, no match for that, but for the 1P and 2P start buttons I used the standard white buttons that come with microswitch. I really don't care for it the one time you push it per game.....

But otherwise, I agree: leafs rule !!!!!

They are plain white, the control panel overlay had/has the 1 & 2 "player graphics".  Originally, they were leaf switches. ;)

I will also be using these as fire buttons.  So leaf would probably be the way to go.  Thanks a lot for the bob roberts site, the only links I had (to his old site?) were all dead.
