Title: IPAC-2 sticky key question
Post by: stevodevo on August 18, 2005, 11:13:09 am
The pause key on my CP is acting up.  If I don't press and release it quickly it will register pause-on/pause-off.  So I have to hit it fast to actually register just "pause".  It's like the button is sending two keypresses when I click down/up.  I haven't noticed it on any other keys.  Is this a wiring problem?  I looked over the wiring last night and everything "looks" secure.

Anyone else experience this?

thanks,
stevodevo

Is Pause set as your Shift Key?  If so, the I-PAC will send the action on key release, but that isn't what you are describing. . .

I've had the same problem in the past.  It turned out that my microswitches were the problem.  I'm not an expert on any of this but I replaced my switched and haven't had a problem since.  If it turns out to be something else, I'd be interested!

Hmm..no pause isn't my shift key but I wondered about the microswitch.  I think I've got an extra one.  I'll give that a shot and see what happens!

Thanks guys!
