Title: D9200 universal flat or curved ?
Post by: rogue on August 18, 2005, 06:55:12 am
Hi folks, my inaugural post !
Long time lurker, first time poster ..
I've been a dedicated cabinet kind of guy up until recently when i sold everything off in preparation for a move into a much smaller house = no games room :(
The upside is, without the distraction, i can devote some time to building a Mame cab :)

I've sourced a WG D9200 27" for my cabinet which is cool, however, the question was posed do i want a flat or curved unit ? Can someone shine some light on any pros or cons for either ? All the monitors I've had in the old cabs have been curved i guess ( never had to replace one ! ), flat screen seems a more sensible choice, but they must sell the curved ones for a reason ?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Do you have a choice?

Seriously, I don't see an option.

You will probably have an easier time with a bezel if you go with the curved monitor.

Just my 2 cents,
John

I would say go for curved.  More authentic.
