Does anyone have a link to ripped arcade game sounds to be used as event sounds in MAMEwah?
Thanks for any help...

If you're gonna use MAMEWAH then you need to visit jcrouse's website
http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer/mamewah.htm
spend some time there and you'll be happy you did.

Jcrouse doesn't really have any sounds though. I've been searching for that myself.
-
click the link I provided.

I'm using a few of those now...most are not to my taste however...
Still looking...

Let me know if you fins anything else. I remember hearing a few sounds while looking for different arcade style desktop themes. Like a Defender style theme. It had icons and cursors but I think it also had sounds.
I'm gonna do some googling

Here are some good pac man ms pacman sounds
http://www.classicgaming.com/pac-man/Sounds/
You could also just use the samples that mame uses from over at mame.net
-
Thanks, that pac-man dying sound is just what I was looking for!
MAME samples DO have a few good ones...
Thanks

You could also use M1 to grab some arcade sounds...that what I've done for my cab.
-
What is M1? (remember, there is not such thing as a stupid question!)
-
Google "arcade m1"...

I originally had a pack of arcade sounds on there, but it got too cliched. I've now changed to custom samples and have all manner of different bleeps, bloops, ticks and other percussive sounds in there - sounds pretty neat.
