Im trying to temporarily unhook the power supply to my super neo 29 so I can hook my dreamcast to it. Ive heard leaving the power supply on without a load will ruin it. My problem is I can not just unhook the power supply because the monitor seems to be running throught it. Ive never dealt with japanese cabinets before but Ive never seen this on a american cabinet. Does anyone know how to un hook it and still be able to power the monitor? Heres a pic of the power supply everything coming in from the outlet goes straight to the power supply, then the monitor plugs into it.

I've been running mine without a load on it for over a year with no problems.
(Exact same cab as yours)

do you here a slight buzzing from the power supply? I wasnt sure if this was normal. Its nothing I can here with the cabinet closed but if the volume is turned all the way down and you open the cabinet its pretty obvious.

I've never really noticed, I'll check tomorrow night.

what i did, which was pretty involved, was getting a jamma board and loading the psu w/ that. i cut every power line and ground from the original jamma harness and hooked all those to a board by a jamma connector from bob roberts.
it took a long time, but i think in the long run, it will be worth it. i don't have the same PSU as you, since mine is an original astro city. it really depends on if your psu has built in caps. my astro city psu would blink in overload mode w/ no load.
i run the DC and PC w/ it. if i wanted to, i could also hook up boards. it's just a matter of switching the jamma harness to whatever i want to use.
maybe this helps.

Did you get a chance to check your power supply for a buzzing?
