Title: Wanted: Original SNES controller
Post by: vader on August 16, 2005, 12:33:36 pm
Title says it all, looking for one in good condition at a reasonable price, been to gamestop, but they only have NES, I've fallen in love with FZero all over again and want the right controller, the Logitech PS2 knockoff isn't cutting it.  I'm going to get the usb hack from sealiecomputing.com and convert it, unless someone else has other options.

Thanks

Tim

What's reasonable?

There are many listed on Ebay for $5.00 or less and with an understanding seller you could make the shipping destination to be the location where you have to send for the upgrade unless you are going to get the parts and do the soldering yourself.

Just a thought....

$23.00 shipped, already converted to USB.

Why buy the kit if you can buy it done for a cpl bucks more.
You'll spend at least $5.00 to 7.50 for the controller.

Sorry, I misread that.  I thought that it included the controller!

Well since I misled you with my original post.

I have a Japanese Super Famicom fighter pad for the SNES.

Its not a standard pad but its angled.  I'll post a pic when I get home.

I bought it to convert to usb and have never done it.

I have 10.00 in it, if you want it.

Seen the multiples on ebay, unfortunatley, their all knockoffs, but I may have to got that way, I really wanted a original, but I can do without, I'm able to do the soldering myself, I actually probably prefer to do that...I like little projects...so much more rewarding...I'm gonna ebay scrounging again

I think you might like this one.

I have never seen another one like it.

I thought it was rare or something and I put it up on Ebay one time and didn't get a bid one.

I haven't really lost interest in it, I just have too many ongoing projects to start something else.

So, its yours if you want it.

Barely making progress.  I am waiting on a WG U3100 monitor right now.

Like I said before, I have too little money, time, and talent.

But, I'll get there eventually.  Its been a fun ride.

I got it the WG version on Ebay for $155.00 plus shipping.

I figured if nothing else it would save my the cost of an arcadevga.

Plus the old p3-600 I set up for this cocktail doesnt even have a vga port so I would have had to upgrade the mobo as well.
