Came across a control that looks like a spinner but is an 8-way joystick that also acts as a push-down button.
Anybody know what game this came from?
Thanks.

Are you sure its also a push button? Its not a ikari warriors joystick is it?

Frontline? I'm only guessing that because it looks like one that was disscussed here recently.

From the Forgotten Worlds arcade machine. Basically a depressable spinner.
Spinner controls the direction of fire
Pressing down fires
joystick controls movement
nope.
guess I should have put this is in the first place:

This type of control was used in Frontline, Wild Western and at least one other that escapes me right now. These function more like an eight way joystick that you cannot center.
According to KLOV, Forgotten Worlds used an optical rotary control.

The Tin Star is the other game with this type of controller.

Dude I've been looking for one of those for a year now. My cabinet just isn't complete without one. Wonder if the guy wants to sell it ? :-\

Wow, they have great prices. A full cocktail table (minus machine/monitor) for 500... this is with the glass and mame prints.
