Title: SK Juke question
Post by: kenmelk on August 15, 2005, 02:04:44 am
i have a question.  I am running MAME 99 and Mamewah (newest release), and i was wondering if there is a way for me to "launch" the SKJUKE via my MAMEWAH Frontend?  Or do i have to shutdown MAME and MAMEWAH then run the juke?  Also i would like the info on how to run it through MAMEWAH as i want to do this.
Thanks,
Ken

It can be done (as I have it as an option in Mamewah).

If you follow this method, you could run any program from within Mamewah.

You need to create a shortcut to the exe file and put it in a folder (I have a folder for storing all the shortcuts I want).
You then create a new emulator ini for them and have the rom folder as the folder where the shortcuts are stored and the rom extension as 'lnk' (for winXP).

I can post my ini file when I get home from work as an example, otherwise I'm sure there are other threads around that would no doubt explain a bit better than I have.

Will definitely post my ini file when  get a chance (probably not until Wednesday as my PC is at my parents where I'm building my cab).

I am using a fairly bland layout for it as on the same screen I also have other apps that I can choose (PC games). If you created a nice jukebox layout, all that would be listed on there is an option to load up SKJ.
