Regarding the 27" Happ's arcade monitor bezel, can anybody confirm what the fit was like on a D9200?
Was it a perfect fit to the monitor glass profile/curve or did it have to be cut & altered? (Not worried about cutting the outside to size, I do expect this.)
Happ's want $100 in freight to Australia which I am considering but I don't want to get stuck with a crappy fit for this type of investment.
Thanks guys.

Mine is a perfect fit. I just trimmed the outside, as you stated. You DO have to be careful to get it in proper position, because it is molded to the glass shape, and if it's off position, it will not be tight against the glass due to the curved shape.
That shipping price, however, seems OUTRAGEOUS!
The thing can't weigh more than a half pound!
If it would be considerably cheaper, I would be willing to order one here in the US and ship it to you... You pay actual costs for product and all shipping, of course.

Thanks for the reply and generous offer tivogre. I did some searches and found some conflicting info regarding the sizes so the reassurance it will fit properly is appreciated.
Regarding the dispatch offer, by the time I pay freight from Happ's to yourself and then pay freight to Aus, it will probably end up roughly the same. For what I guess will then be a small saving it's probably not worth your trouble.
But again, your offer is met with sincere thanks. ;)

Did you check to see if Ponyboy from B/S/T might carry the bezel? You might be able to save that way?
Also there is a post on how to make your own floating in one of the stickies I believe..

The problem with shipping from Happ, is that the charge you a MASSIVE fee for oversize items, such as the bezel. I dunno if UPS or whoever really charges anywhere near that much, but it does seem quite ridiculous to pay that much for something as light as a bezel.

UPS oversize certainly isn't as much as Happ makes it out to be. I shipped a full marshall stack from CT to CA, for around 100 via UPS. This included three boxes - one for each speaker cab, and one for the head and cables.
The biggest problem shipping to a place like Australia (and it's just like shipping to Hawaii) is that it gets charged Air rates. Remember no $7 dollar UPS ground there :)
So essentially, you are paying 2 day air shipping on an oversized item. At least with ebay items, it ends up being a much better solutino to use the USPS to connect up with the local version downunder. At least this is what I have found from an ebay perspective.

If you do order from happs, definitely order more than one. They will only pack it in a cardboard box and the bezel will not survive the journey without getting squashed and cracked. This has happened to me just shipping within the US. The more bezels in there, the sturdier and better chance they will make it. Just offer the rest in the Buy Sell Trade forum to others in your area. Split up the shipping cost that way.

Thanks for the feedback guys. At the top of my list at the moment is the $2 bezel. I can stuff up 60 of these and still be considerably ahead....

Here is one from another US retailer:

It is quite a bit more expensive then the Happs but if the shipping is a lot cheaper it could offset the sales price. It may be worth a phone call or email.
Good Luck,
John

Great. So not only do you guys have one supplier of bezels, you have a second. Way to rub it in man... :P
Seriously, thanks for the link. I will email them and advise answer upon their reply.
