Title: Formica Laminate
Post by: Willypill on August 12, 2005, 02:54:07 pm
I'm putting some black Formica on top of my control panel to give it a smooth slick surface.  This stuff is very durable.  Has anyone ever used this before?  What's your opinion of it?  Probably more people than I think have used it...

I used it on my CP and entire cabinet.

Looks great;  very durable so far on the CP.

There's a thread I started over in project announcements with pictures of applying it and links to my web site with more detail than you probably want  :P

On a side note , other than the durability, you will be wiping it down quite often. I don't know about you, but I have 2 children, and there are forever little fingerprints on the machine. Same when we have company.

I'd say every other day I wipe it down with glass cleaner to remove the prints. All in all though, it does make for a good finish.

Just my take.
