Title: MEKAW .71 and Mamewah error help needed
Post by: killbill on August 11, 2005, 07:12:02 pm
Hi,

I noticed on this .71 version that there is a new set up type window that appears for a moment before the emulator gui comes up.

Won't answer your question, but have your tried Kega Fusion.

Emulates nearly all the Sega consoles pre-Saturn and is supposed to be really good.

I agree.

I had it just running the mastersystem but tonight tried it on Genesis and 32x......works great.

The latest MekaW (including the one on Screenshotarchive) don't require a hack at all for escape.

Thanks, Stuzza!

I used the Meka Configurator, and set it to cabinet mode.

When I try to run a game from Mamewah, this error window pops up:

Meka 0.71
(c) Omar Cornut (Bock) and contributors
--
Loading MEKA.MSG (messages)..
Parameter "-verifyroms" is invalid!n--
Syntax: MEKAW [rom] [options] ...

Where [rom] is a valid rom image to load. Available options are:

-HELP -?         : Display command line help
-SETUP           : Start with the setup screen
-EURO -US        : Emulate an European/US system for this session
-JAP -JP -JPN    : Emulate a Japanese system for this session
  -DEBUG           : Enable debugging features
-LOAD <n>        : Load savestate <n> on startup
-LOG <file>      : Log message to file <file> (appending it)
-NOELEPHANT      : Just what it says

How can I get rid of this?  Help?!

Never got an answer on this and it is still happening, no matter what I try.

Anyone experience this?

Thanks.

I believe you have MAMEWAH setup with ... crap forget what it's called.....  the list generation method in your mekaw.ini file in MAMEWAH.   You have it set up for MAME that's why it's verifying roms.

If you can't find it, I'll have to look it up as I'm really tired.  If not, I think I've said enough so Minwah or Jcrouse will see what I mean.

Thanks 2600.

I think you're right.

I'll check into it.

I agree. You need to use a list generation methiod of "rom_folder".
