Title: No Viewing Windows in Mamewah Help
Post by: topdawgg on August 11, 2005, 05:36:02 pm
Hey guys I want my cpu to not show ANYTHING associated with windows when it starts up mamewah.

So I know that I can change the startup screen for windows... to some logo that I create or get from a website... I know that I can add mamewah to the start menu for windows and it will boot right into mamewah... but how do I shut down the PC without the user seeing windows?  And how do I boot into windows without the user seeing anything in windows?

*And dont say use the dos version :)  *

-Thanks for the help.

OK, I am sympathizing, since the 100 posts make it hard to find the best answer... :(

I just did this.

Okay how about this?  Try being nice.  This is one of the number one reaons people dont post on boards.  There must be 100 complaints about this issue."

Hey, John was being nice.  This question is almost entirely dependant on what Windows version you're using, so heeding his advice would likely get you a better answer.

BTW this is also not really a Mamewah question (rather a general Windows one), so you need not neccessarily use 'mamewah' in your search.

I know XP in particular can be a pain to remove certain screens, and in some cases there is no perfect answer (which is why my cab still has XP 'welcome' & 'shutdown' screens  ::) ).  In my limited experience in this, Windows 'tweaking' sites are a good place to start, as well as searching the boards.
