Gotta say, I love what this guy is doing to the Eagles. I hate the Eagles, root against them by default, hope they never win a game ever. This guy is destroying the team from within, a far easier thing to do than from the defense.

I hate Owens more than I hate the Eagles. I hope they get rid of Owens and win in spite of him. He's a piece of garbage.

I hate the Eagles more than I hate Owens. I hope he stays, bungles his protests until they don't have to pay him whatever he makes now, and the Eagles lose 14 games.

Being from the Bay Area, I'd have to say glad to be rid of em'. He was nothing but a headache for the 49ers too.

Nothing like a good hate based thread.

I don't know who this Owens guy is but I really hate the Eagles. Well more directed at the West Coast Eagles (Aussie rules footy) and not the team you are talking about. But it's good to see the general hate towards the Eagles

As the Philadelphian cringes in fear...
Glad I'm not that into sports... All I know is the guy seems to be an overpaid crybaby. 3 mill isn't enough? Seems the choices are:
a) Sit him on the bench for the whole season: p!$$ him and his agent off.
b) Kick him off the team.
c) Let him play, if he behaves.
I'm leaning towards a.
Apparently, he just got suspended for a week for not signing autographs when Andy Reid (head coach?) told him to. An argument ensued, and TO packed up his stuff and left.

I'm in the Philly burbs, and not really a hardcore fan.
The Eagles seem to have an issue with getting talented loudmouths. They just went through this mess with Ricky Waters a couple seasons ago.
I think they're the real deal though. They didn't have T.O. for the post season last year and did OK.

Their best option: Make him play. They are a much better offense with him than without him, and he is under contract. If he plays poorly, he has no case for more money. If he refuses to play, they do not have to pay him.
