cool...
I recognise most of the games represented, but what's the triangle at the top, & the wing things?

Triangle is the Tri-force thing from Zelda games

The wings are "rocket sleds" from Megaman 2.

Ah, didn't know that.  That's one awesome tattoo.

there is way too much going on in that one tattoo... I think it looks horrid.  I think each character would make a decent tattoo seperately tho..... meh... just my .02, it's not on my skin :)

Imagine explaining that tattoo in 20-30 years...

It would be like having "Howdy Doody" or other ancient commercial crap permanently etched on ya.

-- Thread Resurrection! --

I'm not into tattoos but I was looking at this page (http://www.bmezine.com/tattoo/geek001.html) and found this one:

http://www.hostimage.org/img/53596420.jpg

So I'm thinking "Hey, that's pretty nice!  He's got Pac-Man eating a cherry with ghosts inside of him, the Montezuma's Revenge(?) skull, the light guns...maybe a little tacky but still kind of cool!  I wonder what the rest of it looks like?"

http://www.hostimage.org/img/04576857.jpg

WTF?!

Are those things even four way?! :P

That is absolutely the most retarded thing I have seen this century.

Annoyingly so.
Ever tried to play Bosconian without the ability to go diagonally?

I wouldn't even consider that a good excuse.  Love of the games is one thing... but love of the $10 TV Game knockoff???  come on....

I'm going to chance a guess that they aren't real tattoos.  Well, I mean they are real, but not permanent.  There was a dude with a shop at the beach this summer that was doing tattoos with a gun that didn't have the needles in them.  He said the ink  lasted about a week unless you really rubbed at it.

I'm thinking it was a promotional thing, like at a trade show.  No way anyone has enough geek in them to love games that much, but the stamina to put up with the pain required for that much ink.  :P

if you go to the site that comes from, it wont be. bmzine is about body mods. the site (last time i went therewas years ago and i cant imagine it getting better) it was full of people yuo just needed to (for instance) insert plastic beads under their skin, have tattoos on EVERY part of their anatomy, inject saline solution into their genitalia, castrate themselves, chop off the tips of their fingers etc. hopefully not all at once! there were ven articles on how to chop off complete fingers and limbs  :o

and THAT explains this tattoo. its probably a 15 yo who needs to go to a site like that to be cool. he has no real connection with the images on his tattoo and hence the jaxx fau pax. hopefully he learns that you dont have to be extreme to be cool- BEFORE he castrates himself  ;D

edit: i dont despise those people though. we need clowns to entertain us! just think of them as modern day jesters! i remember when i looked at that site they had a 'pic of the day'. the pic was of a guy who had injected his FOREHEAD with saline! he looked like a goddam Klingon! priceless...

Who the hell tattoos a $35 piece of ThinkGeek Chinese slave labor into their skin?  For r-type's sake, get a tattoo of a naked woman or a bloody knife or a skull with an eye-patch!

I hope that's Photoshop or at least a henna.

If you're going to get a giant videogame-related tattoo, you should do it properly.
One of the 2s in the Mega Man 2 rocket sleds should be backwards!

like i said, its from bmzine so the dude would be laughed out of the club for having a pretend tattoo. of course this means all generation X people will laugh hard at him for the rest of his life (",). also, from one of those pics:

"Various Geek tattoos, done by me, Sean McCafferty, of Zyclon Tattoo.
One of those plug-in TV games, replicated on a leg.
(by Sean McCafferty, Zyclon Tattoo at Studio One, Caerphilly, South Wales, Www.Zyclontattoo.Co.Uk)
Submitted by iam:seantattoo"

so everyone can stop hoping it is only temporary. he probably had a laugh. bit like when teenage girls get asian characters tattooed on their backs which actually say "bite me". hehe...

I'm considering the snake boss of Mutant Storm.  It's cool.  Just need to get good art for the shop.

okay, the pac-man plug in game is pretty lame-o..even for me....

I have a Tattoo of Pac-Man being chased by a Ghost and Dots going around my arm.  the idea of it was a mock the jocks thing....instead of barbed wire, or some tribal whatever going around my arm..I'd have a Pac-Man Scene.

On the other hand....the 2 NES guns done skull and cross bones style with the LOZ map is pretty bad ass.  Hmmm.....I do have another arm....that one seem similarly mocky.  :)

OK, I see AMD logo's, Apple logo's (not too bad, but it already looks SO outdated now in the old rainbow colors !) and a single space invader on the side of a leg (not too bad !)

But NO Atari Fuji ?? Not a single one ???

The Pac Man maze-on-ass is funny....for 10 seconds.

I still prefer my girl-friends' lower lip piercing  :D :D

I've wanted to get an Atari Fuji on my leg for the past few years.  Just never got around to it yet.
