Title: Tool Safety
Post by: DrewKaree on August 10, 2005, 12:32:40 am
Even with all the safety gear, bad things can happen.  Stuff like this:

Even MORE reason you should be wearing the safety gear.....think of all those things can prevent.  There's a reason they're called "accidents".

Hmmmm... Good advice.

I noticed when I started building my cab I would always clamp everything down before cutting etc. Now I have become somewhat relaxed around the tools and let my guard down significantly. Stuff like holding the wood with my hand when using the dropsaw etc...

I think its human nature to become complacent.   :-\

That's not so bad. It's when you're holding the board in one hand, the saw in the other, and using your leg as a saw horse that you need to step back and think about the consequences of what could happen. ;)
