Hey everyone, it's the latest noob!! I actually got really interested in this when I edited the ExtremeTech commercial that aired on G4 and I had to go out and buy the book and now I'm actually about to put down the money.
Okay, having never bought pushbuttons, I was wondering the difference between the two offered by Happ...

Other than the curvature, is there a feel difference between these buttons... I am looking for buttons that really "pop" when you hit them. (I remember my disappointment as a kid when Nintendo put out their "arcade" controller and the buttons were so 'dead'.) I'm basically looking to recreate the feel of Galaga buttons... if that makes any sense. Or, are the button pretty much the same feel across the board.
Thanks!!

Standard concave horizontal microswitch buttons sound just what you need. If oyu don;t want a click find some leafswitch buttons.

Of the two listed you want the horizontals.

But you really wanted to be on this page:

And the big issue here is the competition pushbuttons. This are convex (dished out) and a lot of people prefer them for fast action and fighters, but they're not like the original Galaga buttons.
And unless you are ordering a lot of other stuff from Happ, you want to get the buttons from www.therealbobroberts.com, or PonyBoy in the Buy/sell/trade forum.
www.groovygamegear.com has buttons also and they're fine, but they aren't Happ buttons.

I originally bought mine from happs. But more recently I've been getting em off ebay.

Ponyboy here on BYOAC is the best source you'll ever find for Happ stuff.
