Title: Favorite 3 & 4 player games
Post by: Ash...Housewares on August 08, 2005, 02:30:20 pm
My 4 player cab is so near completion that I may freak at any moment.  In anticipation of many late nights of gaming with my roommates, I have to ask this all important question:

What are the best 3 & 4 player games?

We plan on playing:

Simpsons
Ninja Turtles
GI Joe
Gauntlet? (not sure if my ROM set has it working)
Moonwalker? (Never played it)

Any recommendations?

Most of these are side scrolling beat-em ups.  I have played all of them either in the arcade or on my machine..

TMNT
X-Men
WWF Wrestlefest (royal rumble or tag team)
Simpsons
Quartet
Rampage
Pit Fighter
Rampart
Alien vs. Predator
Super off-road

D&D games

D&D games

Me too!

D&D Tower of Doom (1993):

D&D Shadow Over Mystara (1996):

Probably some of the most colourful 4 player games you'll see.

Hey, thanks for all the awesome suggestions!  So many games, so little time!  Anyone have any more suggestions?

I got the rest of my panel working last night at like 11:00 and we stayed up late playing a couple of those games.

It's going to be very hard to finish the last couple of things I need to do on the cab and not play!

Thanks again!

Battletoads is a pretty cool game. It's 3 players and much more violent/graphic than any of the home versions. It looks similar to a SNES battletoads game they made, but I can't remember what the name of it was (I know it wasn't that Battletoads and Double Dragon game).

The best battletoads is the original one on the sega genesis, not the double dragon one. Its on of my favorites, alot funner than the arcade port. By the way...you should try moonwalker..ha.

Man, that's awesome!  I totally forgot about battletoads.  The only one I've ever played was for regular nintendo.  And that was a pretty good game

I have a Gauntlet 2 cabinet that was converted into Battletoads; the game even has a dip switch to turn blood on/off

Sunset riders is deff on my 4p wish list

X-men, simpsons, gauntlet (1 and 2), Rampage (orig and World Tour). My daughters have switched over to thinking that Rampage is the best game ever.  Hard to argue that point: Monsters destroying buildings. That's a recipe for success.
