Is this too expensive? Or is it an okay deal for this monitor?
I figure if I buy this it would save me the cost of an arcadevga card at least.
Thanks for looking,

If the price doesn't go up much more than what it has already, it would be fine. I've never paid that much for a universal or front mount VGA monitor, but they weren't WG either.
By comparison, a new one factory direct is $350.
-
its not much more than a refurbdirect from wg...i'd go for it
-
It didn't sell at $200, so he put it back up for $150.

Yea, thats me who bid on it. Hopefully I can grab it at 150.00 + 40 shipping.
(so cmon fellas dont bid against a fellow byoac'er who is broke!)
I cant justify spending more than 200.00 total for a used monitor.

if you can get it for $150 + shipping, I'd say that's a darn good deal.
I'm only NOT bidding on it cuz you asked nicely :P
-
They are 225.00 for a refurbished monitor directly from Wells Gardner and that includes a 1 yr warranty.
I'm not gonna get too bent outta shape if I lose out on this one but who knows maybe I'll
get lucky (it could happen!).
-Dweebs

they definitely pushed the price up a notch..but i guess that includes the warranty
-
Was that you who got it? It went for 155.
-
yep, I got for 195.00 shipped. I'll withhold saying its a good deal till I see it working (dont want to count my chickens before they are hatched).

Well with that statement, you better make Chicken Shift the first game you test on the monitor ;)
-
heh, you quack me up.
Wait! Lets not start this again!!
-
LOL ok, I'll stop :)
-
I'd say you did just fine. :)
Is this for the cocktail project?
-
yep, you think it'll work okay? I already have an extra 21" PC monitor now
because of this cocktail. I put it back together and now am using it on my main PC.
It really is too big for the desk I have it on though.
I need to start a BYO Desk thread.
Wife is threatening to take away the debit card with all of the purchases lately. ::)

I need to start a BYO Desk thread.
IIRC, BishmasterB did ... although I don't recall a thread here about it.
Cheers.

Assuming the monitor works, it'll work out better than "ok". It'll work out great. Mine is a Neo Tec, but it looks exactly like yours. Here's a tip. Install 2x4 railings and mount you monitor on top of them. It ought to make for a perfect fit.
By the way, do you have a proper bezel? Somehow I ended up with a spare.
-
I have the bezel arcadedepot.com sells. It didn't really fit right on my 21 inch PC monitor, hopefully it'll sit right on this one.
Thanks,

It ought to fit just about perfectly. The curve might be a bit different, but the size will be dead on.
