Please do not tell me to do a search, or read the FAQ's as i have done both. I KNOW this has been asked before, but i cannot find the answer anywhere!
How do i use the mame software to "flip" a vertical game to play on a horizontal monitor?
My Galaga plays great, only it is left to right, i want it up and down!
I am using the newest version of mame and Mamewah. I am new to MAME and just need this little help as i do not want to build a vert cab. I have tried using the "tab menu" and play with the "dip switched" and still cannot figure out how to flip the "flipping thing"
Thanks and PLEASE let me know how to do this, i NEED MY GALAGA FIX!! ;D
Thanks in advance to all,
Ken

Sorry for referring you to somewhere else, but it's the whole "Give a guy a fish thing", if you follow the link it will answer your other questions that you don't know you don't know yet. 8)
See http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/mameguide/mamew32setup.htm
Read the part on:
All you need to do to run it is to open a command prompt. Either go to the start button, press run and type command or you can run the command prompt from the start/programs/accessories menu.
Once you are in a DOS box type in this command
cd C:\Mame
You should see the prompt
C:\Mame>
If it is the first time you have run Mame type mame -cc. This will create a file called mame.ini which holds all the default Mame settings.
Now scroll down through the options in the link to :
*** Mame CORE video options ***
See where it says:
-[no]autoror Automatically rotates the screen clockwise for vertical games.
-[no]autorol Automatically rotates the screen anti-clockwise for vertical games.
That's the one you need to set. (You'll probably want to play with the other options too, if nothing else just to see what they do.)
