Title: Netflix question
Post by: lustreking on August 05, 2005, 02:14:25 pm
I tend to rent a lot of tv series.  I was wondering how multiple dvd series sets work with netflix?  Do you have to rent each disc individually, or do you just rent the whole series?  If you do rent them individually, do they ever arrive out of order?

Thanks

If the set is 6 discs, each disc counts as a single rental.  They arrive in whatever order you arrange them in in your queue.

And sometimes they could arrive out of order, because if the disc at the top of your queue is out of stock they will send you the second disc in your queue and so on.  FWIW, I've personally rented at least 6 or 7 full seasons of various shows in the last 9 months and haven't received a single disc out-of-order.

It wouldn't matter if I did, since I rip them all for later viewing anyway, but I digress...

They also have it now where when you rent the series, it selects all the discs.  A year or so ago you had to find all the disc's to rent the entire set.  I still have that problem with multi-disk movies.
