Title: N64 Controller Mapping on a PSX Controller
Post by: Hudson187 on August 01, 2005, 09:40:35 pm
Just wondering what you guys think the best layout would be for n64 controls on a psx type controller. Im trying to implement N64 emulation into my computer that is emul only (that hooks to my home theater) but Im using the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 controllers. What do you guys think??

I do it the same way as a Gamecube:

D-pad is D-pad, of course

Left analog is the analog stick

Right analog axes are the C-buttons

L1 is Z, R1 is R, L2 is L

Square is B

X is A

Start is Start

It's simple, but for games that use the C-buttons extensively(such as Tony Hawk), it's not perfect. But you shouldn't be playing the N64 version of Tony Hawk anyway  ;)
