Would anyone say it's possible to cut holes for controls before I get my overlay printed? Or am I just asking for trouble (such as holes not quite lining up)??
-
Is it possible? For sure.... Is it risky? Absolutely!
I suppose it depends on just how many holes you need to make and how good you are with the measuring stick.
Itching to make a start are you?

I guess it depends on the overlay. If you have outlines for your buttons, joysticks, trackball, etc then you'll want to wait. If not, I don't see why you couldn't start right away.

theory is you can cut holes for controls before you get the overlay.
but in real life, in 99 % theory and reality differ ;)
I would wait the overlay in order to have a correct aligment for the holes

Yeah. Well. I wanna race through this. I've had this cab almost 2 years now. It's finally painted and I'm setting up the software on a PC. I figure installing the hardware will take a day tops.
Guess I should switch gears and finish my art!
