Title: Flight Yoke from what game?
Post by: Apollo on July 31, 2005, 08:51:39 pm
Can someone tell what game this is from. Would it be possible to use as a Star Wars yoke?

Well, Armax posted in B/S/T a few days ago this eBay auction for a yoke that looks identical to the one you have pictured for sale in New Zealand.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6194872358&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

It is marked as a Data East "Air Force" although I can not find any description on KLOV for a game with this name or these markings.

I'm interested in any more info you may find as well (at least I will be for about 2 more days until the auction ends  :).

Not "Air Force", but a Data East "Lock On".  They look identical, but I have no idea if the innards are the same.

from experience, the lock on yoke, if it is original, should have handles that are parallel to the case and not slanted, like the much loved star wars yoke.  also, the case is more of a polygon shape rather than just a trapezoid, yet everything internal seems to be similar, if not the same.

I've got a near perfect Lock-On yoke, and it used the slanted handles.
They are identical to the Star Wars ones, except for the decal.
