I have had my Betson 27" for about 4 weeks now and everything has been somewhat fine other than the other issues people have been having with the scrunched screen and no rotation.
When I got the monitor I went through all the resolutions and adjusted the screen to match each resolution. Now I noticed it has not saved the screen adjustments for each resolution.
I would resize the screen for the first resolution and then go to the next and resize the screen for that resolution, but it is only saving the last screen resize. When I go back to the previous resolutions the screen has changed back to the original monitor default.
I just did a recall and thought this would fix this, but it didn't. I thought the Betson would save the screen adjustments for all resolutions once set.
Am I missing something?

I just got off the phone with Betson support and he said the monitor will not hold the screen resizing for each resolution it has been adjusted for. It will only save the last screen adjustments for the last resolution selected.
I read in Retroblast that you need to go through each resolution and adjust the screen, but according to support that is not the case.
Anyone else know about this?

Very interesting. What's your setup.

It really sucks. You might as well just set it up for 640X480 and use screenstretch.
I sure hope someone has figured a way around this. Maybe Kevin Steele could chime in on this from his experience.

Anyone have some experience with advance mame and the betson 27"?

Not so interesing after all. I thought you were using advancemame or something. Your problems are normal and have nothing to do with your monitor. ArcadeVGA setups run at a fixed horizontal clock (i.e. one centering setting). Since it runs at a fixed hclock, many games will be displayed incorrectly. You can check the ultimarc documentation for all the gory details if your curious.
For you setup just center a game running at 320x240, like gauntlet, then game on.

I am confused by this. I thought reforce was used to remove resolutions that the monitor couldn't handle. This would be used to protect the monitor if you made a mistake and set the res to high.

Do you use reforce and advancemame? No problems with resizing the image?
I'm have a pretty good technical ability, I work on PC's for a living, but I had some problems getting advmame working on the betson. It gives me some errors when I try to start it. (nice problem description, huh)

It's most likely a driver issue.

I guess I'm not understanding what you're saying, but I have a betson and arcade vga (and XP home) and mine adjusts to all resolutions and remembers that adjustment.
When I first recieved the monitor, I tried a game and adjusted the screen until it was perfect for that game (horizontal, vertical, trapezoid stuff, etc.), then tried another game which was at a different resolution and screen wasn't centered, etc. I fixed that one, and played several more..occasionaly coming up with a game with a new resolution that wasn't adjusted yet and fixing that one. But once I adjusted for each resolution I never have to go back in and re-adjust. Since that first few days of adjusting the screen for each res, I haven't had to go back in and re-adjust again (and that was 8 months ago).
and I've never heard of the program 'reforce' so that doesn't have anything to do with my setup.

If all your horizontal games take up the fullscreen on an arcadevga setup, then you must be using some sort of stretching.
