here is a Namco Galaxian (not the same as US Midway version)
note sideart is different. movement left/right is by button and bexel/cpo was simply silkscreened to plexisheet held in place by a retainer. currently has 3rd part bezel from "Geiger" with cigarette burns
in need of:
green t-molding - have some already but not long enough :(
Namco version of the marquee and plexi Bezel/CPO
Monitor Chassis needs to be repairs as something went bang when i tried to test it today :(
if you can help to id the hantarex monitor chassis please see http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=40757.0
cab is currently wired to konami so needs to be wired back to Galaxian
I already have Namco version of the Galaxian game board :)

can you provide the photos, this way some photoshop guy can clean it up and made the assembly. once the puxxle is complete I can trace it
are you able to scan it, it's always better to work from scan than from photo-mosaic.

resurrecting this thread as looks like will be restoring it this year! :)
just won an original namco marquee on ebay :)
just need to get a decent photo or scan of the bezel/control panel plexi so I can vector it and get a repro made

Wow, great find on the marquee :-D
Awesome project - can't wait to see the result.

Been testing my galaxian board and notice a number of things wrong:
1. No stars displayed
2. No explosion sound when you die
3. Strange red lines displayed on bottom line of the blue text on the attract screen and missing line of the red "Game Over" message. See pics!
I have referred to the troubleshooting guide and identified a number of chips i need to consider replacing and have ordered them today to address issues 1 and 2.
However i have no idea about issue 3 - maybe is a memory issue? any suggestions on which chips to check?

cap kit fitted to mtc9000 chassis
-
stripped interior and checked that speaker still there
-
rewired for 1 player jamma
-
testing monitor, sound and controls with 60 in 1 jamma board
fitted the repro bezel graphics between two sheets of 3mm plexi - controls held on to back by just the buttons
there is the standard galaxian smoked plexi under it too - makes screen look good
-
modified the Geiger bezel to have 4/8 way joystick and 2 fire buttons for playing 60 in 1 games
-
to do:
- resolve issues with Galaxian board
- build galaxian to jamma converter
- lock for back door
- complete molex connector on 60 in 1 bezel
- find new fixings for bezel retainer
- new bulb for coin door
- new pots for mtc9000 adjustment board to resize/position screen image better
-
mtc9000 fitted after some modification of its mounting frame to allow back door to close with grinder!!
-
to do:
- resolve issues with Galaxian board
Hopefully you'll get the board working. Too nice a cab for a 60-1.
