Finally, after enjoying everyone ELSE's awesome work for so long, I can now publicly announce my own project is done!!!
I had originally planned on using LuCID's cab plans, but came across a T2 shell from a local collector last February on the RGVACM newsgroup, he was one step from turning it into Dumpstercade... Please no flames, I looked at it after two weeks, of no takers to give the purists a chance to take him up on the offer first (he had zero, nada, none), ultimately I saved it from a certain doom.. The cab had possibilities, and for the price (free), what did I have to loose..
Here it is.. Needed some work, the corners were all chipped out, that awfull (sorry arnold) artwork had to go, the sides needed to be reformed..yadayadayada.

After the weather finally warmed up, I got started.. A nip here and a tuck there, and it is shaping up!

Very nice conversion. I can honestly say that I'm glad you used a T2 cab because at every auction I go to there's like 4 or 5 of them there that either don't sell or go for real cheap.

Excellent job there guy, if my cab looks half as good as that when im finished (95% there) ill be well chuffed! Just one question, im at the stage of getting my coin mech & credit broad working properly with mame, i know that all of the wires apart from power & GND go to connections on the jamma harness, so all i have to do is connect the live +12v wire and GND wire from the credit broad to the PCs power supply, right?, and then it shall all work?

That sounds right as a way to get power to your board. I'm using an iPac 2 and have p1/p2 credit buttons on the control panel to go with the switches in the coin door. I wired in the coin acceptor switches themselves to the ground and to the coin 1, coin 2 connecters on the iPac (shared with the buttons from the CP). I'm using the +12VDC and Ground from the power supply to power up the little lights behind the red rejector buttons. Does that make sense? Also, thanks for the comments, I'm sure you'll have an awesome project too! Be sure and post your pics!

The guy I got the cab from said almost the same thing. He had picked up 3 of them cheap to make one good dedicated t2. It did have a cool mirror and lighted wires in it though. I was trying to figure out some way to reuse those in timewarp but couldn't.. Chris
